Getting here

By car

Via the A23 (Hamburg–Heide), exit Glückstadt. Follow the signs towards the town centre to Königstraße. Public parking is available there (on weekdays with a parking disc, max. 2 hours).

By train

Metronom line (Hamburg → Westerland), get off at Glückstadt station. From the station it is about a 5-minute walk to the guesthouse (400 m).

By ferry

The Elbe ferry connects Wischhafen (Lower Saxony) with Glückstadt – ideal for arrivals from the south without a detour via Hamburg.

By bike

Glückstadt lies on several long-distance cycle routes. Right opposite the guesthouse there is a lockable bike storage for our guests.

Glückstadt as an overnight stop

Several major long-distance cycle routes run straight through Glückstadt or cross the Elbe here. A natural stop for a night by the river.

Follows the Elbe to the North Sea and runs straight through the town.

Part of the European North Sea route. Glückstadt lies directly on the route.

Connects historic churches from the North Sea to the Baltic, right through Glückstadt.

Crosses the Elbe right here, with the ferry to Wischhafen.

Lockable bike storage

Right opposite the guesthouse your bike is kept safe and locked overnight, so you can set off relaxed the next morning.

Parking

Public parking is available right on Königstraße.

Monday to Saturday from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm a maximum parking time of 2 hours applies with a parking disc (please observe the signs on site).

Outside these times as well as on Sundays and public holidays you can park there without a parking disc, unless signs indicate otherwise.

If no parking is available on Königstraße, further public parking is a few minutes' walk away.
